Certified EFT Supervisor and Therapist

As a certified EFT therapist I am dedicated to the promotion of safe and resilient relationships. I help clients to identify the obstacles to closeness and support clear and effective communications between partners and family members which allows for deepening connection and the strengthening of bonds.

As a certified EFT supervisor, I have committed myself to teaching, presenting, training and supervising others in this work. There is now in New England a community of highly competent, compassionate, and skilled professionals who are also dedicated to the promotion of happy, healthy, and resilient relationships.

Credentials, Education, and Training:

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I am also an Experienced Registered Yoga Instructor through the National Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Therapist (a holistic approach to health addressing physical, mental/psychological and emotional balance and imbalance). I have a Master’s Degree is Clinical Psychology: Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Antioch University. I have studied yoga and yoga psychology for more than 20 years from many teachers. I have completed post-graduate certificates in Mind/Body Medicine and Meditation (Harvard Medical School), and many forms of therapeutic yoga.

I also receive ongoing training and supervision from the Foundation of Human Enrichment. Their three-year program trains professionals to treat post-traumatic stress disorder. This body-centered model is called Somatic Experiencing (SE) and was developed by Peter Levine. This is a highly effective model which works to restore the body’s natural equilibrium. I incorporate SE in the individual and couples work I do whenever there is stuck trauma and also to provide safety and allow for integration of the therapeutic work.

With a background in body-centered psychotherapy and yoga, I bring to my EFT work a deep understanding and appreciation of how stress and emotion impacts the body. In order to stay current in this area, I continue to teach weekly classes and have presented workshops on Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, Yoga for Personal Transformation, Yoga for Insomnia, Breathwork, Yoga for Stress Reduction, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga for Trauma Survivors. I co-created with licensed acupuncturist, Shelley Kelley Sullivan, Yogapuncture, a therapeutically designed program that combines yoga therapy and acupuncture. Together we have given half-day, full day and weekend workshops and retreats.
